A very fun and relax 3D2N getaway from Nelson. Nice and calm rainy day on D1, but stop when we reach the destination, so manage to get some nice photography.

[Marlborough Sound] French Pass

Voila! Nelson weekend getaway. French Pass, according to the website (http://www.frenchpass.com/), "overseas visitors rate it the most scenic drive in the country surpassing Milford and Queenstown", and I cannot agree more. Although the route is windy and the road is unseled from Elaine Bay to French Pass, but it still worth the drive. It takes about 1h 40m drive from the junction of highway 6.

Giant stingray was observed in Elaine Bay right from the jetty, and sharks from the shore of French Pass campsite. Stunning view and wild animals had make this place amazing. According to DOC (Department of Conservation) information, dolphins are often seen in french pass, maybe I should try my luck again.

[Nelson Lake NP] St. Arnaud Range Track

Slept 2 nights in West Bay campground, which only cost $6 per night for cold shower, flush toilet, cooking shelter and amazing scenery. Love it and will definitely go back again to do the other walks.

Done the Bunner Peninsula Nature Walk and St. Arnaud Range Track together. Due to time limitation, I only hike until Parachute Rocks lookout, It really worth the hike, for 2.5 hours ascent.

Aerial view of Lake Rotoiti for the second time from different angle. The lake still amazing as it is.

Also learn about the unpredictable ridiculously rapid change of New Zealand weather. In an hour, the heavy rain over the lake become clear blur skies.

Spotted some cute mushroom in Brunner Peninsula Walk, maybe the rain get the mushroom growed.

[Abel Tasman NP] 4D3N Coastal Walk

"You will never be ready until you do it". That was me when I were doing the Abel Tasman Coastal Walk. Never done camping or training before.
I may not be as strong, fit and healthy as average people, but I am determine. In other words, I always be my best to get what I wanted. I won't mind if I take longer time and more stops than others do, because I enjoy the process and scenery.

The End! Felt good at the moment I done the walk, although I had the thoughts of giving up a few times, but I am glad that I achieved it. Honestly speaking, the 3 nights of tramping is like a dream for me, survive without electricity and electronic devices.
